Dane Lee Broussard – President
Dane joined Flexpipe Systems in July 2010. Dane comes most recently from Tetra Technologies - Offshore Services Division where he held the position of Vice President and General Manager. Dane was directly responsible for the growth of five business units – Heavy Lift, EOT Cutting Services, Offshore Plug & Abandonment, Electric Wireline and Land Plug and Abandonment. Prior to joining Tetra Technologies Dane held several management positions with FMC Technologies including: Business Development and International Operations Manager, Drilling and Intervention Systems Manager, Strategic Alliance Manager, Terra Nova Project Newfoundland. Dane’s leadership skills and experience are an asset to the Flexpipe Systems team as the company continues its expansion in Canada, the United States and into the global marketplace.
Mike Skrbich – Vice President, United States, Sales and Field Operations
Mike joined Flexpipe Systems in the spring of 2011, backed with an extensive international career that took him around the world to Brazil, Indonesia, the United Kingdom and South America. He has 10 years experience of leading international sales organizations and multinational teams to meet and exceed business goals. Most notably, Mike began his 15-year career at Schlumberger as a field engineer, working up to be a global account manager responsible for establishing relationships with clients on a global basis. Mike’s proven track record of growing and expanding companies in North America and internationally makes him a valuable member of the Flexpipe Systems team.
Mark Nowak – Vice President, Latin America, Sales and Field Operations
Mark joined Flexpipe Systems in October 2011 having more than 30 years of sales, marketing, and business development experience with composite and polymer products. Mark is an accomplished executive, holding several upper management positions throughout his career. Most recently, Mark spent 13 years with Ameron International Corporation, six of which he held the position of Group President of their fiberglass-composite pipe business responsible for worldwide operations. Mark holds a B.S. Degree in Business Administration and an Associate Degree in Engineering Technology, both from the University of Toledo. He has also attended numerous executive development programs with AMA’s Management Program, the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School.
David McColl, P.Eng - Vice President, QSHE and Business Development
Dave joined Flexpipe Systems in July 2005 from GM Electro-Motive where he held several progressive positions in engineering, business planning, project management, and sales. Dave is a founding investor in Flexpipe Systems and has been actively involved with the company in a consulting capacity since its incorporation. Dave holds a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Western Ontario and is a registered professional engineer in the province of Alberta.
Kevin Gartner – Vice President, Manufacturing Operations
Kevin joined Flexpipe Systems in January 2003 bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge in numerous plastic processing fields, polyethylene manufacturing and flexible composite pipe. Kevin was the Production Manager at Proflex Pipe Corporation and was involved in the development and commercialization of its high pressure, flexible composite pipe. Kevin was ultimately responsible for the commissioning and production of Proflex’s manufacturing facility. Kevin holds an honors diploma in Plastics Engineering Technology from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.
Jeff Conley, P.Eng. – Vice President, Marketing
Jeff joined Flexpipe Systems in September 2003. He is passionate about the innovative pipeline solutions offered by Flexpipe Systems that provide real value to customers. Previously at Flexpipe Systems, he led the development, qualification, and commercialization of Flexpipe Systems products. Prior to joining Flexpipe Systems, Jeff developed heat-treated steel components at Standen’s Ltd. and meeting room technology at SMART Technologies. Jeff holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta and is a registered professional engineer in the province of Alberta.
Steven Guevarra, CMA – Vice President, Finance and Controller
Steven joined Flexpipe Systems in August 2004 and has held positions including Controller and Senior Controller. Prior to this, he spent several years in senior financial roles for manufacturing companies such as Simmons Canada Inc and Endurapak Inc. Steven holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree from the University of Manitoba and is a designated Certified Management Accountant (CMA). In 2008 he was awarded the CMA Alberta Award of Excellence, Early Achievement for making significant accomplishments early in his career. Today Steven continues to strive for excellence in providing leadership and direction to the Business Strategy and Planning, Finance, Human Resources, and Information Technology teams.
Darcy R. MacPherson, P.Eng – Vice President, Engineering
Darcy joined Flexpipe Systems in December 2004 in the role of Senior Project Engineer. Darcy was instrumental in setting up the existing Calgary manufacturing facility and leading the capacity addition and new product process development initiatives. While supporting these endeavors, Darcy also led and grew key engineering teams such as Product Development, Applications Engineering, and Manufacturing Technology. Previous to Flexpipe System, Darcy was in the rotating equipment discipline including roles as Senior Rotating Equipment Specialist for Nova Chemicals Corporation and Technical Superintendent for WEIR Engineering Services. Darcy holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta and is a registered professional engineer in the province of Alberta.
Blaine Weller, P. Eng – Senior Manager, Applications Engineering
Blaine joined Flexpipe Systems in July 2005. Blaine’s experience and commitment to excellence has taken him around the world, travelling with Flexpipe Systems to oversee new product installations and provide customer support. Previous to Flexpipe Systems, Blaine was a Plant Engineer at Nova Chemicals for 16 years in various expanding roles. Blaine holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta and is registered as a Professional Engineer in the province of Alberta.
